Chilliwack police officer charged
A police officer with the Chilliwack RCMP is being criminally charged, related to an arrest he made on November 17, 2013, as well as the subsequent testimony he provided in court with respect to that arrest.

Project Valley Sweep brushes out property crime
Police in the Fraser Valley are crediting Project Valley Sweep for a decline in property crime over the summer. This joint effort involved seven dedicated officers from Abbotsford Police Department, Chilliwack and Mission RCMP.

One deceased after shooting in Chilliwack
On September 2, 2016 just before 8:00 pm, the Chilliwack RCMP received a report of shots fired in the area of the 48000 block of Chilliwack Central Road. Uniformed officers arrived at the scene and located two victims who had suffered gunshot wounds. One of the victim’s succumbed to their injuries, and the second victim was transported to hospital by the BC Ambulance service with life threatening injuries.

One man charged in fatal shooting
On April 18, 2016 the Chilliwack RCMP responded to a report of shots fired outside a residence at a housing complex located at 46000 Princess Avenue. Upon attendance, police located a male victim identified as 33 year old Dave WILLIAMS, who had sustained gunshot wounds. Mr. Williams was pronounced deceased at the scene, and the Integrated Homicide Investigation Team took conduct of the investigation.
