The Fire Department is made up of 31 career staff and 130 paid on call firefighters, with 6 Fire Halls to serve the community of Chilliwack. In addition to the primary responsibilities of fire response, the Fire Department is also involved in many fire prevention programs.

On August 31, 2011 the Chilliwack Fire Department released a written and pictorial history book featuring its first 100 years of operation. The book was conceived in 2006 and has now been published and is ready for sale. |
