| Description: From Idea to Illustration: Brainstorming and Sketching Techniques for Editorial Illustration. Have you ever looked at an illustration in a magazine or ad and wondered how the artist came up with the idea, and then how it was made? Join instructor, Tom Froese, as he guides you as you learn about the illustration process, from concept to completion. Although most illustration happens on the computer today, many artists start with the humble pencil and paper. All good illustrations are good ideas first. In this two part course, you will learn how to find a good idea through brainstorming and sketching techniques and then produce a “rough” illustration by hand — everything up to the point where a computer would be needed. Ages: 13 - Adults. Thursdays, Oct. 8 & 15, 7-9 pm. Cost: $35. *Members save 10%. |
