| Description: Charlie is visiting from England, painfully shy and very much in need of rest. His friend has the perfect solution – he leaves him at a rural fishing lodge, telling his hosts that Charlie is from an exotic foreign land and speaks no English. All is well until “the foreigner” overhears more than he should. Charlie becomes an unwitting infiltrator in the exploits of those surrounding him, and after becoming privy to a series of plots, peculiarities and private affairs, he embraces his persona to hilarious slapstick results. With intrigue, trickery, and total absurdity abounding in this well-loved play, The Foreigner will make you laugh, smile, and reconsider the value of listening! This magnificent and gut-bustingly hilarious show comes to the Chilliwack Cultural Centre on tour from the Arts Club Theatre Company, presenting a production from Pacific Theatre.
