The City of Chilliwack is requesting expressions of interest from qualified engineering consulting firms who possess the required personnel, experience and resources to provide a multi-year Bridge Inspection and Reporting Program.  The purpose of the bridge inspection is for a qualified bridge inspection engineer to visit each site to visually inspect each of the 23 bridges including ancillary structures (such as signs, barriers, railing etc.) prepare inspection forms and prepare a prioritized cost estimate for the repair of the observed deficiencies. 

A pre-selection process will be used to identify three (3) qualified and complete teams to submit comprehensive Proposals for the project.  This document oulines the overall scope of the project, sets out the requirements for the Expressions of Interest and indicates the process to be used to select the short-listed teams.  Teams will be evaluated primarily on successfully completing comparable services. 

Interested firms can obtain RFEI documents on or after Wednesday April 18, 2012 from the City's Main Reception desk or by downloading the document from the City's web page at www.chilliwack.com/bids. 

Sealed envelopes clearly marked on the outside with the firm's name, address and "RFEI, 2012-2016 Bridge Inspection Program" will be received by the undersigned no later than 3:00 pm local time on Wednesday may 16, 2012.
