    Promontory Heights Community School
  • This school is the seventh school to participate in the Safer School Travel Program. Parents primarily walk and drive their children to and from school, and the PAC was concerned about student safety while walking to and from school.
    Robertson Elementary
  • This is the eighth school to participate in the Safer School Travel Program. Parents at the school were concerned about the safety of the routes children are using to walk to and from school.
    Tyson Elementary
  • This school was the fifth school to participate in the Safer School Travel program. Parents at the school were concerned about the speed of vehicles travelling along South Sumas Rd., and the safety of some of the walking routes that children use.

    Yarrow Elementary
  • Yarrow Elementary was the second school to participate in the Safer School Travel program and started in October 2005. The PAC worked in conjunction with Safer City to develop a school road safety plan and a best walking routes map in order to ensure that students are able to travel to and from school safely.
