The transformation of Jean McNaughton/Happy Wilkinson Parks into a multi-purpose community oriented urban park will provide our community with a place where everyone is welcome to enjoy outdoor performances, special events and festivals.

Over the next few years, the site will be transformed through the development of:
1. A large outdoor amphitheatre,
2. Water feature,
3. Special lighting,
4. Pathways; and
5. Interpretative signage, along with significant architectural features to make everyone feel welcome and proud of their new community park.

City Council has endorsed the name “Central Community Park” to identify this site as an important community asset centrally located in the heart of downtown Chilliwack.

The project is estimated to cost 1.3 million dollars, with the Rotary Clubs and the City of Chilliwack providing the majority of the funds.
