  Field Naturalists

"To Know Nature and to Keep it Worth Knowing"

The Chilliwack Field Naturalists, formed in 1971 is an affiliated club of the province-wide Federation of B.C. Naturalists. The club provides an opportunity for families and people of all ages to get acquainted with our natural world.

Evening programs feature lectures on birds, plants, animals, geology, wildlife habitats and ecosystems. Field trips held throughout the year sample a variety of locations and provide "hands on" experience and sharing of knowledge. Most trips are of a low to moderate level of difficullty and provide an opportunity for pleasant hiking or casual strolling to enjoy the outdoors.

Objectives of the club are two-fold:

  • to enjoy and interpret the natural history of our area
  • to promote the appreciation and conservation of the natural ecosystems that support us all to ensure the future of wild species and places.
  • New members are welcome! For further information please contact:

    Denis Knopp at (604) 858-5141.
